YOU will definitely see these Brownies coming, thanks to a donation of 100 high visibility vests.
The 7th Bicester Brownies are strutting their stuff after Specsavers in Sheep Street, donated 100 vests to help keep the group safer during the dark winter months.
Brown Owl Sandra Marshall said: “I saw on the Guiding Facebook page that Specsavers were giving out the high visibility jackets to youth groups and contacted the local shop and they said ‘of course’ which is great.
“They gave us a box of 100 so I gave them to others in our district as well, such as the Rainbows and two other Brownie packs.
“It just means that if we do go out, especially in the evenings, it is safer for us. Also if we are at an event it makes it a lot easier to see all my girls. It’s good to be able to see that they are all my Brownies.”
The group, which has 24 members aged from seven to 10, is based at West Bicester Community Centre in Shakespeare Drive and meets every Thursday.
