Banbury United is urgently calling for volunteers to fill two roles involved in running the club.

The club is looking for a fixture manager to join its operations team and a club secretary.

The vacancies have arisen following the announcement of the departure of chairman Ronnie Johnson.

Mr Johnson, who will step down from his role at the end of the season, had been carrying out many of the duties related to these positions.

It is stressed that assistance is needed to manage off-season tasks and ensure the club is ready for the start of next season.

A thorough understanding of the club and its members is advantageous for both positions.

The fixture manager will coordinate various matchday activities.

The role requires liaising with several teams including ticketing, commercial, safety and security, and communications.

It also includes tasks such as liaising with suppliers, handling cash payments, and managing pitch inspections.

Attendance at almost all home matchdays is expected, along with three to five hours of work per week outside match events.

The club seeks a secretary with strong communication and writing skills.

The role involves managing the inbox, issuing member communications, helping organise fundraising events, ensuring league and FA compliance and other club related paperwork.

Support is needed almost immediately to start work during the off-season.

Both roles can be performed remotely or at the club.
