SHAHBAZ Ali will play for Horspath’s second string tomorrow over fears he may be suffering with the intense heat during Ramadan.

Horspath travel to Tring Park in Division 1, while Ali will line up against Aston Rowant’s 2nd XI in Division 2 of the Cherwell League.

With Ali unable to eat or take on board liquid during daylight hours until July 18, captain Will Eason felt it was the right decision.

“He has battled through it so far, but with the heat we have had this week we feel it is a necessary move.

“Hopefully he will come back up the following week.”

All-rounder Jack Biggs replaces him in the 11, while wicket-keeper Jasper Davies returns in place of Andy Roberts.
