ROSE Hill Club A crashed to a 2-1 defeat against Kennington Social Club to lose top spot in Section 2.
Steve Walton (4-6-4) whipped off 14 dolls as Kennington came from behind to win the second and third legs by one.
Red Lion B Eynsham took full advantage to take top spot after a tight 3-0 home victory over Red Lion A Kidlington.
Eynsham won the first two legs on three sticks, before easing to victory in the third 24-19.
Only four points separate the top five now, with Red Lion’s tally matched by Bullnose Morris A and Ampleforth B.
Bullnose Morris survived a scare against Vikings Sports B, losing the first leg 19-18, before hitting back for a 2-1 victory.

Bullnose won a tight second leg on three sticks, and then cruised home 21-13 in the decider.
Ampleforth defeated Florence Park Club A 2-1, despite Keith Bull (6-5-2) hitting 13 dolls for the club men.
After Ampleforth stormed the first leg 28-23, Florence Park pulled level in the next with a 23-19 success.
In the decider, Ampleforth sealed victory by one doll to make it a three-way tie at the top.
Golden Ball A remain in contention, despite a 2-1 defeat at Six Bells A Quarry.
