AMERICAN FOOTBALL: Oxford Saints lost 50-13 to Sussex in the quarter-finals of the Southern Conference Division 2.
The home side ended the first quarter with a 14-0 lead, before Saints' Grant Tebb touched down in the second.
Spencer Duffy kicked the extras.
Sussex then added another touchdown and a field goal for 24-7.
It was soon 31-7 in the third quarter, but Ryan Kingshott crossed for the visitors.
That was as good as it got for Saints, who conceded three times in the last period.
MOTORSPORT: Dave Messenger overcame a seventh-lap puncture to finish eighth in round ten of the Alfa Romeo Twin Spark Cup at Brands Hatch.
Messenger, from Eynsham, collided with third-placed Steve Potts after a strong start.
HOCKEY: Witney are holding a family club day on September 6.
Junior matches will be held on the Wood Green School astroturf pitch at 1pm, with senior games starting at 3.
There will also be a BBQ at the Plough Inn.
TRIATHLON: Carterton will play host to Olympic and Sprint events tomorrow.
The Olympic triathlon is a 1,500m swin, 40km bike and 10k run.
Meanwhile the sprint is 400m, 20km and 5k.
PICKLEBALL: A new racket sport is to be launched in Wantage.
Pickleball is played using paddles, with a hard plastic whiffle ball, on a badminton court.
Sessions will be held every Thursday at Wantage Leisure Centre between 5.30-6.30pm from September 3.
FENCING: There are places available for people who fancy giving the sport a go.
